Young Farmers Ambassadors (YFA) is the alumni of Young Farmers who have travelled as part of the YFC Discovery Programme. Young Farmers have been representing YFC abroad for over 50 years! The first exchangees were, we believe, to Holland in 1949. YFA was formed on the way back from the USA in 1954.
We get together regularly - either at a local level, national or UK level for fun events and of course, meetings. The atomosphere is always light and informal and there are often fund raising activites, designed to help boost the coffers of YFA so that they can afford to donate a substantial amount to the YFC Discovery Programme.
A bi-annual Newlsetter provides details of IFYE activities, past and present member's experiences, members' news and details of the Annual Reunion. All YFA members are invited to the reunion which is a weekend hosted alternately in Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. Not only does YFA donate to the programme, it honours several delegates with the title 'YFA Scholar' and awards them a contribution towards the cost of their exchange. YFA members also help to repay their own experience by assisting with Orientation, Briefing and selection of Exchangees.
YFA helped you to enjoy your programme - why not give a little back for the next group of exchangees?!
Subscriptions are a mere £10.00 per annum payable by Standing Order.
